Job Description

Silicon Kinetics, an advanced biotools manufacturer, is hiring a full time Research Associate at its Maui site. In this position you will report to the Maui Group Leader to develop and characterize silicon based materials via a number of techniques, including anodic etching and various surface functionalization techniques. Duties include preparation of chemical reagents, silicon wafer processing, and characterization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills and participate in developing a novel technology for sensing biomolecule kinetics in a label free fashion. . The position requires a BS in chemistry, materials science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have experience in general laboratory techniques.
