spacer3D surfaces for all SKi Sensor™ chips are prepared to have extremely low non-specific binding. spacerComplex biological fluids like plasma can be used without deleterious effects.

spacerCovalent chemistries currently available:

  • Benzalydehyde Chip: Does not require an activation step. Protein is crosslinked offline with stoichiometric amount of linker, then conjugated to the surface.
  • Carboxyl Chip: Amine-coupling.

    Non-covalent chemistries currently available:

     
    • Streptavidin Chip: For biotinylated proteins, peptides and ligands
    • NTA-Ni Chip for polyhistidine - tag applications
    • Protein A Chip for immunoglobulin capture
    • Protein G Chip for immunoglobulin capture

      Silicon Kinetics has also developed procedures for covalent stabilization of indirectly-captured ligands.
